In the short tenure of the incumbent CDA administration, this is the second infrastructural project to be developed on Lehtarar road — the first being the construction of the Burma bridge, which is nearing completion. This bridge project also encompasses the construction of a 700-metre-long dual road.
Previously, the Lehtarar Road had been dualised in 2008. However, due to a lack of the Malal Bridge and Burma Bridge, the road kept on experiencing traffic congestion issues. Now, the authority has reassured locals that the development of the Malal Bridge project would be completed within a year’s time.
