Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Monday (January 30) issued notices to the owners of 39 buildings on Park road to get the structures regularised within two weeks or they will be facing penalties, news sources reported.

The CDA has asked all the owners of the buildings located on Park Road to get their buildings regularised within 15 days of the issuance of the notice. The failure to respond or regularise their land and developed structures would result in lawful measures. As per the notification, the CDA will be within its right to either seal the premises or demolish the buildings of landowners who fail to comply or submit their response within the given timeline. It was highlighted the notices were issued to multiple developments including; residential infrastructures (apartment complexes) and civic buildings (hospitals, schools and shopping malls).

It is important to note that the CDA has recently released a report regarding anti-encroachment drives and operations in the year 2022. As per the authority, it has conducted over 1,100 operations in the city demolishing hundreds of illegal infrastructures and recovering valuable state land.
