According to the details, the PKR 7.5 billion projects would be given to the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) owing to the magnitude of the projects and the necessity for quick execution.
The 7th Avenue interchange road infrastructure project, built in the shape of a cloverleaf with four left and four right loops, will cost PKR 1.5 billion. There will also be an underpass to connect both parts of Khayaban-e-Suharwardy. The IJP-road overhaul and expansion project will cost PKR 6 billion.

Furthermore, the IJP road is specifically being built keeping in view the heavy traffic flow on the road from Rawalpindi, Taxila, Attock and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). However, the road was not built to handle that much traffic which resulted in a dilapidated condition of the road.
