Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) found a lot of commercial plots not conforming to their allotment terms, according to a news report. News reports have claimed that these plots aren’t being used for the purpose they were initially allotted. These plots had been allocated for hospitals, clinics and hotels but are being used for commercial activities such as shopping malls, schools and offices, etc.
In Sector I-9, schools are constructed when this area is reserved for industries. The CDA officials have observed that these students are exposed to emissions from the factories, which is a health hazard. The CDA has issued notices to the management of these schools and asked them to shift their establishments away from the industrial zone.
A total of 9 cases of non-conforming of commercial plots have been identified in Sectors H-8 and H-9, along with more in various other sectors.
