Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Tuesday conducted a strategic anti-encroachment operation in the Chatha Bakhtawar area, and retrieved around 350 kanals of state land in the said locality – according to news sources.
The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration and the Islamabad Police joined the CDA in the latter’s efforts geared towards the removal of illegal constructions in the area. During the operation, 55 illegal boundary walls, 45 rooms, 10 sheds, and other similar non-conforming structures were demolished through the use of heavy machinery.

Previously, the development authority’s task force had confiscated several trucks carrying encroachment material – following the CDA’s anti-encroachment operation on GT Road. In Sector F-6/2, the enforcement teams removed six generators and four security cabins illegally installed on the pathways beyond the plot lines.

The said actions were taken after the expiration of the warning issued to the encroachers for the voluntary removal of their establishments.
