Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has highlighted the need for collaboration with Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police to enhance the security at parks and modernise them by transforming them into state-of-the-art facilities, according to news published in the leading newspaper on August 31.

The news source mentioned that the plan has been proposed under public parks, thoroughfares, and market zones will be equipped with surveillance cameras and will be monitored through the Safe City Command and Control Center.

As an added safety measure, there was a suggestion to install emergency buttons in poorly lit areas to further enhance security. Furthermore, the Chief Police Officer (CPO) in charge of Safe City and Traffic management advocated for the integration of identification card records into the new security framework for individuals visiting public parks. He emphasized that by leveraging technology and innovative strategies, authorities can create a safer environment for both citizens and visitors.
