Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Islamabad Capital Administration (ICT) have jointly launched an anti-encroachment operation in various sectors and areas of the federal capital; including, most notably, in Margalla Town – a news source reported.

The operation is part of the ongoing campaign launched against illegal constructions and encroachment activities in the city. During this initial phase of the drive, the CDA and ICT removed encroachments and demolished several illegally constructed structures in Margalla Town Phases I and II, the industrial area of Sector I-9, and on GT Road.
In Margalla Town Phases I and II, the CDA and ICT staff demolished illegal structures constructed outside houses, including 53 fences, 15 car parking sheds, and 15 bars. While in sector I-9, the staff representing the two bodies sealed nine commercial plots.

During the drive launched in Jhangi Syedan on GT Road, the CDA Enforcement Directorate and ICT Administration demolished 14 illegally constructed rooms, bathrooms, a kitchen, and a kiosk.
