Reportedly, more than 4,000 people have been waiting to get possession of land for development in Sector E-12. Last year, a commission was formed by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to resolve the dispute pertaining to land and built-up property between villagers and the CDA. The commission ordered the CDA to compensate the villagers, who are waiting to get developed plots even after 33 years. Previously, in December, the authority had allotted 162 plots to the affectees.
