Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) recently halted the unauthorised construction work of a plaza situated in Sector G-6, according to a news source. Previously, the authority had sealed the plaza following reports of non-conforming use. However, construction was recently resumed, causing the CDA to take strict action.

This operation was conducted on Sunday by the Enforcement Directorate, Building Control Directorate, ICT Enforcement, and the Islamabad Police. Apart from halting all construction activity on the premises, the CDA also sealed the top floors of the building.
This operation was part of the civic body’s overarching anti-encroachment drive, which has been going on continuously all over the capital city. This operation includes dealing with illegal construction activity of commercial buildings along GT Road, for which bylaws will be created later.
