Islamabad: The federal government has shared that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to get PKR 1.4bn for 10th Avenue project, a news source reported on June 6. The government will provide funds by year-end to resume work on the 10th Avenue project.

As per the details, the construction work on the said project began in March 2022 and was originally scheduled for completion by March 2024. However, construction came to a halt earlier this year with only 15% of the work completed in a span of 14 months. As a federal government-funded initiative, the CDA is responsible for its execution.

The news source revealed that the Interior Ministry informed the civic agency about the allocation of PKR 1,400 million for the 10th Avenue project before the current fiscal year concludes. In addition, the government has decided to allocate PKR 400 million for the project in the upcoming fiscal year under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
