Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) recently stated that it had generated PKR 80 million through approvals issued for building plans of 41 commercial and residential constructions during the last 20 days, a news source reported on January 22.

It further stated that it had issued completion certificates to 10 high-rise structures. According to the details revealed, CDA’s Building Control Department received 121 building plans for approval between January 1 and 20.
Out of the 121 plans, 107 belonged to the residential category. The department provided its approval to 35 plans, raised objections on 33, and delayed 29 others. In addition to the 107 mentioned, the department reviewed 14 commercial building plans; approving six, raising objections on one and delaying the approval of seven plans (currently in their final stages).

According to reports, it delayed the approvals due to non-payment of security fee, no-clearance from estate department, and on charges of building violation.
