Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to make the Gandhara Heritage and Culture and Convention Centre in Sector F-9 Citizen Club functional and open for the public, news sources reported on November 18.

In this context, the CDA has appointed three private members to the management committee (MG), which will oversee the heritage site’s management and operations. The final summary seeking approval for the committee’s name has been forwarded to the federal government. Following the federal government’s permission, the MG committee will be completed and will begin managing numerous initiatives. The CDA stated that the centre will be utilised for meetings, exhibits, and the provision of sporting amenities such as a gym. In addition to club amenities, the centre will have a museum highlighting Gandhara culture.
The club will also be open to the public for the various services that it offers upon payment of membership fees. The following amenities will be offered to the public:

- Gymnasium facility with a membership fee of PKR 12,000 per month
- Tennis court access with a membership fee of PKR 5,000 per month
- Swimming pool access with a membership fee of PKR 5,000 per month

The patrons will have to make a security deposit of PKR 50,000 and the CDA is expected to generate annual revenue of PKR 972 million from these services.
