Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has formed a committee to resolve issues related to bylaws adherence and the construction process flow faced by the construction industry – a news source reported.

According to details, the committee will include two members each from the development authority and the Islamabad Builders Association. This body will present its recommendations on the basis of which a comprehensive policy for construction industry will be formulated.

The decision was taken in a meeting held at the CDA Headquarters to discuss said concerns of the construction industry. Advisor to the Prime Minister on CDA Affairs Ali Nawaz Awan presided over the session. Members of CDA’s design and building control departments were all present at the occasion.

The meeting discussed a number of proposals on the matter. It was also decided that the Islamabad Builders Association would give a briefing on the issues faced by it. Further steps will be taken in light of that briefing.
