Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has floated tenders and project NIT amounting to PKR 137.42 million for the construction of four box culverts in Sector I-11/2, according to news sources.

The said four box culverts in I-11/2 are planned to drain higher water volumes and will have a better flow-rate than normal pipes. These culverts will also be equipped to accommodate vehicular and pedestrian movement.
Reportedly, the CDA is developing Sector I-11 as part of its comprehensive strategy to develop the long-neglected housing sectors and to uplift the capital’s infrastructure. The civic authority has also issued tenders for construction of storm drainages in the said sector. The PC-I and IV for developmental activities in the sector got approved in the 45th CDA Board meeting.

Meanwhile, the CDA’s Enforcement Directorate is executing its ongoing anti-encroachment drive in the city. The CDA teams, along with the revenue staff are sealing and razing illegally constructed structures in various parts of the city.
