Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is expected to complete its digitization by the end of this year, a news source reported. Previously, the authority’s office automation project remained dead in the water for the past 12 years owing to the delays from their software provider.

According to details, the vendor has been required to give an undertaking of fulfilling all requirements. The system will be updated and then delivered to the CDA. The project completion time still remains at 4-6 months. However, the authority’s financial system software is also edging towards its deployment stage. The software providing vendor has also agreed to upgrade the system’s software to the latest versions.

As a result, the completion of automation is expected by the end of this year – allowing the CDA authorities to prepare balance sheets and profit/loss statements. Additionally, the service delivery of all products of CDA will be lined up till June 2020 and all HR and filing systems will be automated – enabling the authority to ensure paperless working environment with real-time financial updates.
