Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Thursday executed an operation to take possession of a vacant plot of land in Park Enclave II, according to news sources. As per the publication, this operation comes as a follow-up to a decision announced by CDA earlier this week in a meeting; where the authority resolved to take possession of the land following a resolution of all its concerned, legal issues.

The operation in Park Enclave II is aimed at paving the way to launch development work at the stalled housing project. The CDA’s Enforcement Directorate, Revenue staff from Land and Revenue Directorate (L&R), Sector Development, Planning Wing, Sector Development, Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MPO), Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration and other concerned departments participated in the operation.

The CDA team took over a significant area of the project, and earmarked the alignment of about a 1-kilometre patch of Street No 1.
Additionally, a meeting of a special CDA-Development Working Party (DWP) is expected to be held soon so as to launch the development work on the housing project at its earliest.
