Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has excused itself for allotting land with respect to the provision of affordable houses for low-income groups, a news source reported.

Previously, the Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) Foundation had formally requested the civic agency to provide land for setting up an affordable residential scheme in the capital city.
In response, CDA has excused itself for proving land for the time being. The authority said it would not be able to fulfil the task on an immediate basis and will take a decision to this effect at the appropriate time.

At present, the civic agency is working on plans to set up several housing schemes as well as initiate other development projects in collaboration with the government and private sector.
