Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board has decided to eliminate the entry tickets to public parks of the federal city, according to news published on February 21.

As per the details, the authority has been collecting entry fees at two major parks – Japanese Park and Lake View Park. A Board meeting was held, with CDA Chairman Noorul Amin Mengal in the chair. The meeting decided to offer free entry to visitors at all public parks. The CDA chairman stated that from Wednesday onwards, entry will be free for the public.

Moreover, the CDA Board also approved the bids from previous auctions after being assessed by an independent evaluator. The board observed that the auction was held transparently and all plots got bids above the reserved price. The news source mentioned the meeting approved conducting of another auction for commercial plots, which will be held exclusively for overseas Pakistanis.
