Islamabad: The Development Working Party (DWP) of Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Thursday (February 17) approved the construction of a flyover at Kashmir Chowk of Murree Road, news sources reported. The project will be completed with a budget of PKR PKR 1.385 billion and will be completed in one year period.

Reportedly, According to the project’s Project Concept (PC) -1 the development would also feature road expansion to facilitate smooth traffic flow on Murree Road. Other initiatives authorised by the committee included: PKR 94 million has been approved for strengthening of the City Sewerage Division and procurement of equipment.

According to CDA authorities, the zoning study would boost the construction sector by enabling construction in Zones III and IV. It is important to highlight here that construction is prohibited in these zones under the existing CDA Ordinance.
