Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority – Development Working Party (CDA-DWP) has approved five projects related to the development of residential sectors in Islamabad, according to a news source.

The development body finalised this approval at its 45th meeting. New PC-Is for various projects were presented at this meeting, reviewed, and approved. As a result, a total of 23,827 housing units will be added to Islamabad. These PC-Is are worth over PKR 18 billion. Tenders are in process for some of the projects, while the rest will be started as soon as possible.
One of the projects was the development of Sector E-12, and involves providing essential services by completing the construction in the sector. This had a PC-I worth PKR 6.63 billion, and was approved. Similarly, a PC-I worth PKR 6.56 billion was approved for the development of Sector E-15.

In addition, the CDA-DWP also approved the PC-Is for the development of Sectors I-11 and I-14. The former amounted to PKR 2.618 billion, while the latter was worth PKR 3.112 billion.
The fifth PC-I was for the development of infrastructure works in Sector G-5. This amounted to PKR 343.79 million, and involves upgrading the road network, and installing all associated infrastructure in the sector.
