Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Monday (February 07) reviewed and approved building plans for various commercial plots in the capital city, according to news sources.

Reportedly, the said building plans were approved by the Design Vetting Committee (DVC) of CDA. A meeting in this regard was held in CDA headquarters, which discussed eight requests for approval of building designs. The committee approved seven designs during the subject meeting. The approved building plans include:
- Plot number 21-B of sector G-10 Markaz of Islamabad
- Plot number 7 of Blue Area, G-8 / F-8
- Design for the construction of a school on plot number 125 in sector H-11 was approved
- The building plan of Masjid Nabavi on plot number 1 in sector G-11/4 of Islamabad was also approved
- An apartment complex design was approved in sector E-8 Naval Complex

In another development, the CDA recently formed a committee to revise the CDA Ordinance 1960 to improve the city’s land acquisition procedure. The committee’s goal will be to eliminate litigation and make the process more open and acceptable to the public. The committee will suggest amendments to sections 2(k), 12(2)(g), and 32-A of the CDA ordinance under its mandate.
