Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has directed its departmental heads to schedule a time frame for public hearings to gather people’s opinions on various civic concern, a news source reported. As per officials, the authority aims to strengthen its public complaint redressal system for resolving public grievances in a timely manner.

The CDA administration recently instruction all the departmental heads – including superiors of the Building Control Section (BCS), Estate Management and Law – to allot a certain time period during which they would address complaints registered as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) approved by the civic agency.

Further, the CDA has instructed its public-dealing offices to do the same. During the designated time frame, the heads will listen to (and resolve) the complaints of the citizens. It recently asked all the officials concerned to expedite the resolution process of the problems faced by the public. The authority’s management also wants the swift provision of quality services and facilities to the public.
