Islamabad: A subcommittee of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to share list of illegal lease allotments in the city within a time frame of one month, a news source reported. The directives were issued by PAC subcommittee convenor Member National Assembly (MNA) Noor Alam Khan on Thursday (December 19).

The CDA representatives, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration officials and the Islamabad Police members were all present at the occasion.
The subcommittee’s convenor directed the CDA to identify culprits involved in illegal lease allotments. Furthermore, he instructed the civic authority to share a report on illegal petrol pumps in the residential areas and illegal parking stands.

The subcommittee also sought an update on the development status of Park Enclave, to which the CDA official reported that possession of plots in the locality would be transferred in March 2020. The CDA also reported that funds have also been issue to award contract for provision gas connections in the society.

Responding to a question on the status of development work sector I-5, the CDA chairman said that land has been retrieved from encroachers and that the CDA is soon to award development contract for the sector.
