Islamabad: A three-member bench of the Supreme Court, headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Afzal Latif to resolve the land lease issues in Lake View Park within a month, a news source reported. The bench was hearing a case pertaining to state land leased in the capital.
The Additional Attorney General shared the details of the leaseholders, the leasing process and the flaws in the process before the court. The court also directed the CDA Chairman to personally visit the park and inspect the land there.
The court also instructed the CDA Chairman to continue the anti-encroachment operation conducted by CDA. CDA has also been instructed to present a report on the matter.
