Islamabad: The Senate Standing Committee on Interior has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to issue 15-days notices before taking action against illegal construction, a news source reported.

Following a thorough discussion, the committee instructed the CDA officials to issue 15-day notices before they demolish illegal structures in the city.

Meanwhile, CDA Chairman Amer Ali informed the committee about the authority’s ongoing anti-encroachment drive, and the demolitions included in it. He revealed that officials were currently demolishing buildings that were constructed along Kashmir Highway’s right of way.
