Islamabad: Federal Ombudsman Syed Tahir Shehbaz has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to take suitable steps to resolve the issues caused by the limited supply of water to the city, according to news sources. As per the publication, he further ordered the Islamabad Municipal Corporation (IMC) to improve the conditions of the capital’s public park facilities.

The Ombudsman made these demands t0 the CDA and the IMC during a meeting that had been held to review pressing concerns like water shortages and construction of roads, among other things. Both agencies responded to the instructions during the session, and associated the negligence of parks within the city to financial constraints.

Ombudsman Shehbaz formed a committee under Senior Advisor Aijaz Ahmed Qureshi to oversee the maintenance of parks, which will include officials from all authorities concerned, along with members of the civil society.
