Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to construct parks and basic building infrastructure in Sectors I-14 and I-16, news sources reported on January 10. The project includes building parks, walking tracks and provision of other facilities for healthy activities.

According to the authority’s spokesperson, the parks would be located in Sectors I-16/2 and I-14/1. Walking paths, plantation drive, swings, walkways, and jogging tracks will all be built as part of the project. The said project followed the completion of the first phase of development, which included the completion of road infrastructure, drainage, and basic infrastructure. The development has occurred in response to the initiation of development operations in Sector E-12. The CDA has lately begun compensating locals after 32 years of delay in development, which had been stalled for several decades.

Sectors I-14 and I-16, like E-12, are part of a delayed project where development work has not yet begun. According to a CDA official, the new administration has chosen to restart the previously postponed projects in the federal capital in response to public demand.
