Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to resume development work in Sector E-12 and I-12, news sources reported on December 27. A tender for the development work will be floated in the next week and the work will start in the last week of January 2022.

As per the news, the decision was made during a CDA review committee meeting attended by officials of the relevant agencies to discuss the problem of the delayed development work. The committee learned that the CDA’s Engineering and Design Wing had finalised the designs and estimates for the remaining sub-sectors of E-12; E-12/1 and E-12/4. The tender for the aforementioned projects will be issued in a week. Similarly, the tender for the I-12 development work will be launched in 10 days, and construction will begin in the first week of February.

According to the latest reports, the CDA has agreed to give the affected people of Sector E12 the custody of the plots. The first balloting ceremony will take place today (December 29) at 3 p.m. at Islamabad’s old One-window CDA headquarters building. It was claimed that the decision was made in light of the federal cabinet’s November 2 directives and the recommendations of the panel constituted specifically to handle the difficulties of the affectees.
