Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has demolished illegally constructed rooms, shops and other structures built on right of way at Murree Road in Malpur, reported a news source. The operation is part of CDA’s drive against encroachments in the city.

As per reports, the razed structures were built illegally on state land. The CDA Encroachment Directorate, Revenue Department staff, and officers of the Islamabad Capital Territory, participated in the operation. CDA employees used heavy machinery to demolish the structures.

In this operation, CDA razed 10 boundary walls, 20 rooms, three washrooms and two kitchens.
Furthermore, the development authority put a stop to all ongoing construction activities in the area. For this end, CDA’s Enforcement Directorate has constituted special vigilance teams.

A similar operation was carried out against similar structures set on the Murree Road right of way last month. The operation currently in effect is part of CDA’s mega drive against the illegal occupation of land owned by the government.
