Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has declared illegal two more housing schemes situated in Zone IV, according to a news source. The developers of these societies did not seek the CDA’s approval prior to the launch of these projects.

As per reports, these societies are located in Mouza Tumair and Mouza Mohrra Noor in Banigala area of the capital city.
According to the CDA, no private schemes can be launched without its approval, as per the Islamabad Capital Territory (Zoning) Regulations 1992, amended in 2010, with specific clauses for private housing schemes.

The CDA has also directed the sponsors of these societies to halt all advertising and booking activities. Potential investors have also been warned against buying plots in these schemes. Additionally, the sponsors have been directed to submit written explanations and explain in person within 15 working days why they should not be legally prosecuted against their actions.
