Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has chopped down several trees on the greenbelt between the Islamabad Highway and Sector H-8 to develop the Pakistan Flag Monument Park.
A news source has reported that the country’s tallest flag pole will be erected in the park. Reportedly, the civic authority is using heavy machinery to level the ground. However, CDA officials told reporters that the trees that had been cut down belonged to ‘outcast species’.
