Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to widen Srinagar Highway, near Serena Chowk and construct a single-barrel underpass, a news source reported on February 22.

As per the details, a consultant will prepare a feasibility report and design the widening of Srinagar Highway, starting from the 7th Avenue Interchange to Serena Chowk. It was revealed that the underpass is being constructed for the smooth flow of traffic.

Reportedly, the CDA has approved the hiring of a consultant for conducting a feasibility study for the Sector I-11 National Bus Terminal. The news source also mentioned that the authority has plans to complete six parking plazas by June to provide modern parking facilities in the busiest commercial areas of the city. It was disclosed that each parking plaza will feature a shopping area, cinema, and food court. The parking capacity of the parking plaza will be 5 to 8 floors.
