As per reports, this situation has become a major concern for the civic agency. The authority said that no serious effort had been undertaken in the past to address rules violations of this nature.
To facilitate this measure, the CDA has tasked at least three teams with carrying out a detailed survey of government accommodations and office buildings – in a bid to determine all instances of violations.

The first committee, which is headed by director building control-II, comprises director maintenance, deputy director urban planning, and a representative of the Estate Office. It will identify violations allegedly made by the occupants of government accommodations.
Similarly, director building control-I has been appointed as the head of the second committee; consisting of the director urban planning, director estate Management–II, and a representative of the Public Works Department (PWD). This group will carry out a survey to determine the developmental violations identified in buildings owned by various ministries and departments.
