Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to conduct a third-party audit of the electric buses manufactured in China before transporting them to Pakistan, a news source reported on December 7.

As per the details, a Chinese company has successfully manufactured 30 electric buses; however, there is a delay in the transportation of the buses. To address this issue, the CDA has opted to conduct a third-party audit of all the buses.
A team comprising consultants, engineers, and CDA officials is set to travel to China by the end of the month. Their primary objective will be to thoroughly inspect the buses, preparing a comprehensive report. The decision to bring the buses to Pakistan or not will be based on this report. It is noteworthy that the CDA envisions operating 160 electric buses on 13 routes within the federal capital.
