Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed on Thursday (June 16) visited the Rawal Dam Chowk project to review the progress of development work, news sources reported. The chairman was briefed about the ongoing development work and was informed that the project will be completed by July this year.

According to reports, the chairman expressed pleasure with the pace of work during his visit to the construction site with other members of the authority. He stated that the project is crucial for the public and must thus be completed on schedule to benefit citizens. He also directed the employees and contractors to work fast while maintaining high quality. According to an official briefing to the chairman, the flyover will be open for traffic until July 31, while the cleavers and slides on the left and right sides will be completed by June 30.

It was also revealed that the Rawal Dam project is being linked to several roadways due to its intricate construction and that the underpass will be completed by September. He was also informed that simultaneous work on all components of the work is underway and that it has entered the completion phase, which means it will be completed ahead of time. It should be mentioned that the project is being constructed by CDA and Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) jointly. The project was awarded to FWO specifically due to its sensitivity.
