Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has completed its rehabilitation work on Sector I-14’s Main Road, a news source reported. The 16-kilometre-long double road connects I-14 and I-16, and is extensively used by the residents of both these sectors.

For rehabilitation of the Main Road, the CDA completed triple surface treatment on both sides of the dual carriageway at an estimated cost of PKR 50 million. Previously, the civic agency had earlier instructed the officers of its Finance Wing to arrange for the required funds and repair the road on an urgent basis to facilitate the public.

In addition to completing the surface treatment work, the authority has fixed the drainage system along the road and recently attended to the fixation need on retaining wall and related infrastructures.
Moreover, the development work in these sectors is being carried out on a priority basis under the CDA policy, which aims to focus on commencing with the stalled development work in various sectors.
As per reports, funds required for the rehabilitation work were arranged on a priority basis, while effective monitoring ensured project’s timely completion.
