Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) prequalification process for firms interested in taking on the development of Sector I-15 has been completed and the development work is expected to be launched by the end of this month (April), according to news sources.

As per the publication, 10 firms – out of 40 who applied for the pre-qualification of Sector I-15– have been shortlisted based on their technical skills and market repute. These firms have been asked to submit their bids to CDA for evaluation.

The authority is focused at launching the development work by the month’s end and has issued the total cost of phase 1’s development for Sector I-15. The selected firm will be charged with complete development of infrastructure, including roads, sewerage, drainage, water supply, electric and other infrastructure for the phase 1.
Reportedly, the CDA further revealed that the sector’s development will add to the capital’s housing stock – an estimated 10,290 housing units of various specifications.
