Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) kicked off its four-day commercial plot auction on a strong note, securing PKR 15.694 billion from the sale of seven plots on Tuesday.
The auction, held at the Jinnah Convention Center, saw enthusiastic participation from investors. CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, who supervised the proceedings, stated that the revenue generated would be utilized for ongoing infrastructure and development projects across the federal capital.

Among the most notable sales were two commercial plots in the Blue Area and prime properties in I-8 and F-7 Markaz. Key transactions included:
- Plot No. 12, Sector G-8 Blue Area (1,333.33 sq. yards) – PKR 4.199 billion
- Plot No. 11, Sector G-8 Blue Area (1,333.33 sq. yards) – PKR 3.466 billion
- Plot No. 1-B, I-8 Markaz (1,422.22 sq. yards) – PKR 3.34 billion
- Plot No. 13-X, F-7 Markaz (700 sq. yards) – PKR 2.12 billion
Additional plots in G-9 and G-8 Markaz also fetched high bids. However, the auction of seven plots in I-14, F-11, I-8, and G-10 Mauve Area was deferred.

Speaking at the event, CDA Chairman Randhawa highlighted that investor confidence in CDA’s policies remains strong. He emphasized the completion of key infrastructure projects like Jinnah Square and the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Interchange, along with ongoing efforts to digitize land records for greater transparency.
The auction will continue until February 28, offering commercial plots in prime locations, including the Blue Area, Industrial Zones, Park Enclave, and Class III Shopping Centres. Shops in the newly constructed parking plaza in the Blue Area are also up for bidding.
To attract investors, CDA has introduced several incentives, including a two-year extended payment plan, building plan approvals upon 25% payment, and possession upon 75% payment. Investors can also avail a 10% discount on lump-sum payments, with an additional 5% discount for payments made in US dollars.

The entire auction process is being supervised by a committee chaired by the CDA Member Finance, with all bids subject to final approval by the CDA Board.
