Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has started construction work on sit-outs across various locations in Islamabad, a news source reported. Moreover, other works relating to beautification and forestation have also been initiated by the organization, in an effort to provide the best recreational value to the people.

According to the details revealed, 90% percent of the sit-outs in F-6 Markaz has been completed while another one is being constructed at the F-10 Markaz. The CDA stated that a total of three sit outs will be open for public use by next month.
Meanwhile, the Environment Directorate of the CDA has commenced with a clean up of land and roads in addition to removing wild bushes and overgrown grass which hinder traffic and minimize the beauty of the city. The work to remove shrubs will continue alongside the plantation of trees on roads and highways with the focus currently being on the western side of the city.

The Director General Environment of the organization stated that Islamabad is one of the green capitals of the world and stressed the need to preserve its character. Lastly, he said that parks will also be a focus of the beautification drive, with particular focus on Fatima Jinnah Park.
