Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has requested the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) and the Islamabad Electricity Supply Company (IESCO) to provide the necessary utilities for Sector I-11, according to a news report.

The higher-ups of these two organisations and the CDA held a meeting in this regard during which the civil body’s management asked them to provide these utilities on a priority basis. The representatives present in the meeting affirmed that this sector would get its utility connections within six months, as the due payments had already been fulfilled.

As part of this project, the SNGPL would lay the pipeline and also establish door-to-door connections in Sectors I-11/1 and I-11/2. Last year, the Capital Development Authority -Development Working Party (CDA-DWP) had approved a PC-I and PC-IV worth PKR 2.7 billion for carrying out development work in Sector I-11. The next step was to deal with all the legalities and approvals involved for the actual development work.
