Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa undertook a comprehensive inspection of ongoing development initiatives this past Friday, as reported in a news source on 11.

According to the details, the primary focus of his visit was to ensure the expeditious completion of maintenance tasks, thorough landscaping endeavours, and the prudent management of financial resources.
Among the projects scrutinised during his tour were Iran Avenue, Margalla Avenue, Margalla Avenue Extension, and 10th Avenue. Chairman Randhawa did not merely conduct a cursory examination; he delved into the specifics. At Iran Avenue, he assessed the condition of the median strips and surrounding greenery, also advocating for aesthetic enhancements to the installed light poles.
Detailed briefings were provided to Chairman Randhawa regarding the Iran Avenue project, emphasising its substantial length of 5.8 kilometres, featuring dual carriageways on both sides. Originally budgeted at PKR 3.9 billion, efforts are now underway to streamline expenditures, aiming for a revised completion cost of PKR 3.5 billion.
Moving forward, Chairman Randhawa directed his attention to Margalla Avenue, where the final stages of maintenance activities are nearing fruition. Spanning approximately 10.5 kilometres with dual carriageways, this project is anticipated to conclude within the allocated budget of PKR 2.6 billion.

Chairman Randhawa also conducted an onsite evaluation of the Margalla Avenue Extension from GT Road to M-I, a project encompassing a 3.5-kilometer stretch with dual carriageways and interchanges. Forecasts indicate that the project will be delivered within the estimated budget of PKR 3.6 billion.
