Islamabad: The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has urged the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to resolve problems being faced by the business community to further enhance trade, new sources reported on January 23.

In a meeting with the CDA officials, ICCI President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari said that there is a need for the reformation of all commercial centres including concerns related to facilities in industrial areas of Sectors I-9 and I-8. He urged the authorities to resolve water, sewage and lights-related issues and remove encroachments in the commercial centres.
On the occasion, the CDA officials said that the authority is conducting balloting of commercial and residential plots in the city starting from Tuesday (Today). He said that the government has taken special measures to ensure greater facilities for those who participate and bid for plots in auctions.

It is important to note that the CDA is organizing a three-day auction of commercial and residential plots in the city. The authority expects to fetch PKR 20 billion from the auction. The auction will be held in Jinnah Convention Center (JCC) from 10 AM onwards.
