Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved more than 5,500 residential and commercial development plans to promote the construction sector in the city, according to news sources.

A CDA’s spokesperson stated that it is the highest number of plans to get approved in a short period of time. In addition, he revealed that the Design Vetting Committee (DVC) meeting for commercial projects will be held on June 29. The meeting is to take place before the end of the fiscal year so that the builders and developers can apply for announced incentives.

In another development, the civic agency has also announced plans to develop a walk-through outdoor museum on Pakistan Monument that will highlight the struggle that went into the foundation of the country. The museum will display photographs from the Pakistan movement. The project is expected to commence in August this year.
