Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has recently introduced MarGo, the official mascot of Islamabad, to add value to the city’s identity and celebrate its cultural significance, as per a news article issued on March 19.

Adding to its significance, it has been revealed that the term MarGo’s name is from “Mar” representing Margalla, and “Go” symbolising prosperity. MarGo, resembling a cheetah, symbolises vitality, reflecting Islamabad’s rapid progress. With sunglasses and a muffler, MarGo conveys sophistication, embodying the capital’s cosmopolitan essence. This aligns with global trends, where iconic mascots represent city cultures.
