Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board on Monday has approved the bids submitted for 22 out of the 24 commercial plots that were auctioned on August 4, according to a news report published on August 16.

The 8th board meeting chaired by CDA Chairman Amir Ali was held at the CDA Headquarters. The meeting was attended by several board members including Dr Muhammad Ali, Iftikhar Hassan Arif, Nayyar Ali Dada, and Ali Asghar Khan. In the meeting, the highest offers for two commercial plots were turned down as they were lower than what the authority had expected.
During the meeting, it was also decided that the Islamabad bus service project will start soon with 20 buses on three different routes. In the beginning, the project will be funded by CDA and later, a commercial company will take over the project.

Apart from the development projects in the city and ensuring provision of quality services to the citizens, it was agreed to prepare PC-2 for the smart city during the next six months. The meeting also approved the decision taken in the sixth and seventh meetings.
