Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board on Monday (January 3) approved an amended layout plan of the Sector I-14 Markaz, according to news reports. In a meeting chaired by the CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed in CDA headquarters, the board members deliberate over the administrative issues of authority.

According to reports, the meeting decided on matters pertaining to the issuance of the construction permit for the Islamabad Highway under PPRA Rule 42(f). The project is designed to shorten commuting times and alleviate issues faced by regular commuters on the Koral-Rawat route. The meeting also made decisions on the building of overseas enclave apartments under the Roshan Digital Account (RDA) initiative. Similarly, the board approved the formation of an advisory group for the Islamabad Gallery at F-9 Park, as well as the nomination of committee members.

It was also agreed in the meeting to form a committee for the regularisation of contractual staff based on suitable criteria. Moreover, the CDA chairman also visited various areas of the city to monitor Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Clean and Green Initiative. It was told that CDA is planting over 0.4 million plants of various species along roads in Islamabad. The chairman said that the project will help fight increasing pollution in the city.
