The 1-kanal plots had earlier been auctioned at a price of PKR 20.5 million each; with the allottees having been promised developed plots in lieu of the payments made in four instalments over a period of one year. According to sources, the majority of allottees have deposited all of their instalments.
According to a CDA press release, the agency has retrieved up to 40 kanals in Park Enclave-II. The operation was conducted by CDA’s enforcement directorate with the assistance of the city administration.

The CDA plans on continuing the operation until all the land has been retrieved – following which the authority will be in a position to launch the development work.
It also intends to install a fence around the retrieved land to ensure that it is not illegally occupied again.
