Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Monday initiated the development work in sector I-15, a news source reported. According to the details shared, the project contractor was recently mobilised on the site; with his work tethered to the establishment of a camp office.

Sources revealed that the survey and demarcation work was underway in sub-sector I-15/3. They added that the CDA would follow up with earthwork for road infrastructure and other development works. Following the completion of the survey, CDA would initiate construction of major and service roads, the sources said.
After roads construction, the authority would follow up with provision of facilities like electric supply, water supply, sewerage, and drainage in the sub sector. The workers have received instructions to complete the survey and demarcation work within two weeks.

CDA officials have highlighted that development work in sector I-15 would help add to the housing capacity available in the capital. This sector was established in 2005 to cater to low-income groups, the officials revealed.
