Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is all set to commence with its three-day biannual plot auctioning event from today (Tuesday) onwards, a news source reported. As per officials, the authority plans to auction 78 residential and commercial plots at the occasion. The CDA revealed the auction details details on October 4.
The CDA has been raising revenue through these auctions for the past few years; the latest of which is scheduled to take place at the Jinnah Convention Centre from October 22 to 24. As per the official announcement:
- Eleven of the residential plots are situated in Sector G-10/2. Five of these plots measure 444.44 square yards and carry PKR 2 million in token money. The remaining plots span over an area measuring 233.33 square yards with an individual token money of PKR 1 million.

- Thirteen plots are located in various sub-sectors of Sector D-12 (five in D-12/3 and nine in D-12/1). In Sector D-12/3, all plots measure 500 square yards carrying individual token money of PKR 2 million. In D-12/1, six plots measure 272.22 square yards, while the remaining come in 139 square yard sizes.
- Five plots in Sector F-10/2 and 2 plots in Sector F-11/2. In Sector F-10/2, three plots on auction are sized 555.55 square yards and two measure at 600 sq yds. The two plots in Sector F-11/2 measure 400 square yards; the token money for each is PKR 2 million.
- Commercial plots are situated in Sectors D-12, F-10, F-11, G-09, G-10, G-11 and I-8.
- Other commercial plots are in Sectors F-7, G-08, I-09, I-11, I-14 and I-16, Diplomatic Enclave, Park Enclave, Margalla Town Extension, and Garden Avenue.

- The largest of the plots (1,111.11 square yards) set to be auctioned off is situated in Sector I-8 Markaz, and carries a token amount of PKR 20 million.
- Three plots – including one measuring 3,555.55 square yards that is situated in Sector G-10 Markaz – will be auctioned off to build apartment complexes.
- Sixteen plots will be auctioned off to build class-III shopping centres.
