Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) disclosed that the beautification work on Srinagar Highway has been completed, making the highway aesthetically more pleasing for the visitors, according to a news story published on Sunday (April 10).

As per the details, the plantation of flowers and trees is part of the Clean Green Pakistan project. The scope of beautification work includes planting trees, flowers, and landscaping without using sand, cement, and other construction material. It was highlighted that the beautification of the city is an ongoing project.
Also, it was mentioned that evergreen flowers were planted along the highway. The road safety requirements as per international practices have also been followed. Moreover, big, and small flower pots with colourful flowers have been placed at prominent locations to enhance the appeal of the road.

It is pertinent to note that the authorities have made the Srinagar Highway signal-free. According to the statistics shared by Islamabad Traffic Police, more than 115,000 vehicles commute through this road.
